Secondary Relief Coordinator
20 hours per week | Commence – January 2027
The Relief Coordinator manages daily staff relief to support the smooth operation of the College and continuity of student learning. The role involves coordinating staff absences, arranging relief and maintaining accurate communication and records. A 7:00 AM start is essential, with the first hour able to be worked remotely before commencing on campus at 8:00 AM. The remaining hours are flexible throughout the week, subject to operational needs and the agreed 20-hour per week term-time arrangement.*

About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and responsive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and plays an important role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the College by effectively coordinating staff relief and maintaining continuity of student learning.
You will have:
- an active Christian faith
- Proven experience in administration, rostering, scheduling or a similar coordination role, preferably within a school environment.
- Exceptional organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate calmly, professionally and build positive relationships with a diverse range of staff and relief personnel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive staff information and records.
- Competency in Google Workspace, confidence in learning College systems, and the ability to use initiative within established procedures; TASS or school timetabling/relief system experience is desirable.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Uphold the Christian Ethos and Support College Operations
Promote the College’s Christian ethos, values and purpose while complying with policies and legislative requirements. - Coordinate Daily Staff Relief
Coordinate daily relief coverage, responding promptly to absences, changes and staffing needs across Secondary. - Manage the Relief Staff Pool and Compliance
Maintain the relief staff register, build positive relationships and assist with onboarding and compliance requirements. - Maintain Records, Systems and Communication
Maintain accurate records and systems, communicate relief arrangements clearly and ensure confidentiality. - Provide Administrative and Event Support
Provide general administrative and event support as required once daily relief coordination is complete.

* This is a term-time position (working school terms only). The annual salary is averaged across 52 weeks to provide consistent payments throughout the year, including during school vacation periods (which are non-term unpaid weeks). Standard NES entitlements, including 4 weeks of paid annual leave, apply.” Non-term time does not affect continuity of service.
