Applications are invited for the position of Classroom Aide in our Joshua Centre, from passionate and caring individuals with a strong commitment to Christian education. The successful candidate will be passionate about autistic education and have experience working with students on the Autism spectrum. This is a permanent, full‑time position based at our Tyabb campus.

The Classroom Aide will assist and support the classroom teacher working under direction. They will help build an effective learning environment by working with teachers to support a differentiated curriculum that meets varying learning styles and provide individualized or small group instruction.

This term‑time Classroom Aide role follows the school calendar and provides regular school‑holiday breaks throughout the year. Salary is evenly distributed, ensuring consistent pay while enjoying extended time off during holiday periods.

The Joshua Centre opened in 2022 and is a special purpose built educational facility for autistic students. The Joshua Centre is located within the Tyabb Campus and provides a differentiated learning program and universally designed environment, to cater and support to differing sensory profiles. What We’re Looking For

  • Successful completion of Certificate III Education Support or other relevant qualification.
  • Understanding of the role of the Learning Support staff in schools and prior experience in this field would be highly desirable.
  • Proven experience or understanding of autism, along with practical tools and evidence informed strategies to support autistic children, whilst maintaining inclusive and positive environment for all.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
