Chaplaincy Coordinator – Fixed Term contract
Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth.
The College is seeking applications from a compassionate and experienced Chaplain to lead our Chaplaincy team. The Chaplaincy Coordinator is responsible for supporting the social, emotional and spiritual needs of students at the College. This is a fixed-term contract available from Term 3 2026 through to the end of Term 1 2027.
In this role you will support the Chaplains across the College as well as:
- Providing consultation to school leadership and teaching staff regarding wellbeing needs of students
- Contributing to and advocate for student spiritual development
- Providing input to the design of a pastoral care framework, process and policy
- Providing input into Health Curriculum, Christian Studies Curriculum, Chapels, social and emotional frameworks
- Facilitating appropriate areas of one-on-one pastoral care for students as identified in case management team
- Increasing networking and connections with local organisations to better support families
About you:
- Diploma level qualification in one of the following: youth work, pastoral care, counselling, social sciences or psychology
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to model Christ to students, community and staff
- Willingness to be involved in extra-curricular activities
- Eligibility to hold a working with children ‘Blue Card’
- Experience in leading a team desirable
