Mundaring Christian College is a thriving non-denominational, co-educational K–12 school, situated in the picturesque Perth Hills across two campuses with a Primary Campus in Mundaring and Secondary Campus in Parkerville, proudly operated by Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our Secondary School team in a permanent, full-time position commencing 12 October 2026, the start of Term 4. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, Gospel-inspired education that nurtures students academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver English courses in line with SCSA standards, Department of Education WA requirements, and National Professional Standards for Teachers, while applying effective classroom management to create a positive learning environment.
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that promote literacy, critical thinking, and a love of literature, tailoring teaching strategies to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate on Curriculum Adjustment Plans (CAPs) and Individual Learning Profiles (ILPs) to support inclusive education.
  • Maintain accurate student records, use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction, provide evidence-based feedback, and complete reports and TASS entries on time.
  • Support students’ wellbeing and model Christian character while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with staff, demonstrate effective use of technology, and actively participate in school events and College life.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a committed Christian faith by actively supporting the College’s Christian life and aligning with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Christian Lifestyle Statement, and educational objectives.
  • Actively support and contribute to the Christian ethos and community of the College.
  • Deliver engaging English programs aligned to the Western Australian Curriculum, fostering literacy, critical thinking and a love of learning.
  • Differentiate teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of students and maximise achievement.
  • Create positive, well-managed classrooms and use effective assessment and feedback practices to support student growth.
  • Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to apply.
