Mundaring Christian College is a thriving non-denominational, co-educational K–12 school, situated in the picturesque Perth Hills across two campuses with a Primary Campus in Mundaring and Secondary Campus in Parkerville, proudly operated by Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our Secondary School team. This position is full-time and permanent, commencing on the 20th of July 2026 or as negotiated.

The successful candidate will develop students’ numeracy, problem-solving and critical thinking skills while fostering confidence and perseverance in mathematical learning. You will design and deliver engaging learning programs aligned with SCSA requirements, support diverse learners through differentiated instruction, and contribute to the holistic wellbeing of students within a thriving Christian community.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver Mathematics courses in line with SCSA standards and relevant education frameworks, including planning, assessment, and reporting requirements.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build numeracy, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while supporting deep conceptual understanding.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to support diverse learners and collaborate on CAPs and ILPs with Inclusive Education staff.
  • Apply effective classroom management and contribute to a safe, positive, and productive learning environment grounded in Christian values.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies, maintain accurate records, and provide timely, evidence-based feedback and reporting (including TASS).
  • Contribute to student wellbeing, collaborate with staff, engage in professional practice, and participate actively in College life and extracurricular activities.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a committed Christian faith by actively supporting the College’s Christian life and aligning with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Christian Lifestyle Statement, and educational objectives.
  • Demonstrated understanding of curriculum differentiation and adjustments, with the ability to design engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills, creating a structured and positive learning environment that supports student engagement, achievement, and numeracy development.
  • Ability to design and implement effective assessment practices, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student progress and conceptual understanding.
  • Commitment to upholding and contributing to the Christian life and values of the College.
  • Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willing to apply.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

  • Experience supporting students requiring intervention as well as extending high-achieving students.
  • Experience teaching Year 11 and 12 Mathematics courses (Foundations, Essentials, Applications, Methods, or Specialist).
