Head of Wellbeing

Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence with Christ-centred education that nurtures the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth of every student.

We are seeking a dedicated and encouraging Head of Wellbeing to join our Senior School team in a full-time, permanent role commencing 1 January 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for the student Wellbeing program for Years 7-12, fostering positive relationships and behaviour in students.

This is not just a role, it’s a sacred opportunity to lead, support and administrate with purpose and conviction, sowing seeds of faith and learning that will shape student lives for eternity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership in wellbeing, driving innovation, operational excellence, and projects aligned with the College’s vision and goals.
• Lead and foster a positive wellbeing culture by strengthening staff, student and parent partnerships, and overseeing wellbeing, relationships and behaviour programs for Years 7-12.
• Lead and coordinate Senior School wellbeing programs, student support services, staff development, key events, and wellbeing-related administration.
• Support and foster a whole-school wellbeing culture through student leadership, wellbeing programs, service learning, pastoral support, and student events.
• Coordinate student behaviour and attendance management, Wellbeing policy development, student administration, and other duties as required.

Selection Criteria:

Essential:

• Have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
• Accept the Association’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of Belief and educational objectives and be living a lifestyle consistent with these statements.
• To demonstrate an active, cooperative and enthusiastic involvement within the spiritual, academic, sporting, cultural and social dimensions of college life.
• To be a supportive team member of the College’s teaching fraternity.
• Holds a valid TRBWA registration and Working with Children Check.

Desirable:
