Head of Advancement (Marketing and Community)

Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,800 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence with Christ-centred education that nurtures the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth of every student.

We are seeking a dedicated and communicative Head of Advancement to join our team in a full-time, ongoing, position commencing 1 January 2027. The successful candidate will lead the College’s Advancement function, driving strategic marketing, branding, alumni engagement, fundraising, and events to strengthen the College’s profile and support future enrolment growth. You will build meaningful relationships across the College and wider community, leading initiatives that foster engagement, philanthropy and a strong sense of connection to the College’s mission and values.

This is more than a marketing role; it is a meaningful opportunity to shape how our College’s vision and Christian ethos are experienced, strengthening connection, belonging, and community for every family we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of the College’s strategic marketing, branding and communications plans to strengthen brand awareness and support enrolment growth.
• Manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print and media channels, including social media, advertising, publications and promotional materials.
• Use data and market insights to evaluate marketing effectiveness, guide strategy and communicate the College’s vision and values to the wider community.
• Lead the College’s community engagement strategy, strengthening relationships with parents, partners, alumni and the wider community.
• Plan and deliver whole-of-College events, networking opportunities and engagement programs that promote the College’s mission and foster strong community connections.
• Act as a key communications and relationship lead, building partnerships, supporting stakeholder engagement and creating opportunities for community participation in College life.

Essential Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
• A strategic and forward-thinking professional with a growth mindset and relevant experience in a similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with staff, parents, students and the wider community.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and strong computer literacy.
• Holds a current Working with Children card and Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willingness to apply.

Desirable Selection Criteria:
