Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence with Christ-centred education that nurtures the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth of every student.
Swan Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated English and Learning Enrichment Teacher to join our Senior School teaching team. This is a full-time, ongoing position commencing 20 July 2026.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous English programs, supporting diverse learning needs through inclusive education practices, and implementing effective differentiation strategies.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support student growth and achievement.
- Use data to inform teaching and provide targeted support and extension opportunities.
- Foster student wellbeing and encourage positive engagement in learning.
- Communicate student progress effectively with parents, staff, and leadership.
- Maintain accurate records and support diverse learning needs.
- Contribute to the College community through mentoring, events, and professional responsibilities.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
- Builds and maintains strong, positive relationships with families, SCEA Head Office staff, and the College community.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under tight timeframes.
- Highly organised, with proven ability to prioritise workloads, show initiative, and take direction as required.
- Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to apply.
Desirable:

- A demonstrated ability to effectively deliver the WA English Curriculum.
- Effective organizational skills with regards to lesson planning, marking and reporting requirements.
- Be competent in the use of technology applications in an education setting.
