Full-Time | Fixed-Term Position (8 Months) | Commences As Soon As Possible
Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence with Christ-centred education that nurtures the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth of every student.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Marketing and Design Officer to join our team in a full-time position, commencing as soon as possible. This is a fixed-term cover contract ending on the 29th January 2027.
The successful candidate will play a key role in sharing the story of the College through creative design, meaningful communication and digital engagement, helping families, staff and students feel informed, connected and inspired within a vibrant Christ-centred school community.
More than a marketing role, this is an opportunity to strengthen connection and belonging – reflecting and promoting the College’s vision and Christian ethos in all communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the College’s digital marketing strategy and management of the College’s digital presence.
- Create and publish content for the website, newsletters, ParentOrbit App, social media and parent communications.
- Produce marketing collateral and publications using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Capture photography and create engaging digital content including posts, videos and reels.
- Collaborate with staff to promote student, alumni, sporting and classroom stories and events.
- Coordinate major publications and maintain accurate, up-to-date website and communication content, including photo permissions compliance.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church.
- Lives in alignment with SCEA’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Beliefs, and Educational Objectives.
- Flexible and collaborative approach, including availability outside normal school hours when required.
- Experience in marketing, communications and graphic design, with intermediate to advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills.
- Effective organisation, communication and time management skills, with high attention to detail.
- Commitment to professional growth and active participation in College life and values.
- Holds a current Working with Children card, and Department of Education Criminal History Check, or willingness to apply.
Desirable Selection Criteria:

- Experience using Canvas, AI tools, social media scheduling software, video editing software, Campaign Monitor, WordPress and a DSLR camera.
- Previous experience and understanding of Meta and Google advertising.
- Experience with filming and editing reels and short-form content for social media.
- Administrative experience.
- Prior experience in an educational setting.
