Northshore Christian Grammar School (NCGS), a growing K–12 school located in the coastal suburb of Alkimos, is part of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). We are seeking dedicated and supportive Education Assistants to join our growing team in part-time (0.8 FTE), permanent positions. These roles commence on the 1st January 2027 with the possibility of a full-time role for Term 4 2026.
In this role, the successful candidates will support warm, nurturing learning environments where every child feels known, valued and inspired to grow. Working collaboratively with teachers, you will support engaging, play-based and inquiry-driven learning experiences that honour each child’s unique developmental stage while helping to build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and critical thinking.
Above all, the successful applicants will bring a genuine love for working with young children and a deep commitment to supporting and shaping young hearts and minds during one of the most significant seasons of a child’s life.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Help teachers in Primary, Secondary or Early Years Classrooms.
- Support teachers by assisting students and preparing classroom materials.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to teaching staff.
- Teach, guide, and supervise small groups of students as required.
- Maintain resources to National Quality Standards and support hearing-impaired students.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:

- Demonstrate your personal commitment to Jesus and how this directs your daily life and worldview.
- Outline your experience working and collaborating with a team in an ‘Educational Setting’.
- To be committed to the establishment and maintenance of quality relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
- And either: Knowledge of the National Quality standards (for EY and Primary applicants) and how they play out for schools, or Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum as it applies to secondary education (Secondary applicants).
- Holds, or is willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and Department of Education Criminal History Clearance.
Desirable:

- AUSLAN and or KEY sign trained.
- Previous experience working in a school.
- First Aid Certificate.
