Northshore Christian Grammar School (NCGS), a growing K–12 school located in the coastal suburb of Alkimos, is part of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). NCGS provides Christ-centred, values-based education that empowers students to become all God created them to be. We are seeking an organised, compassionate and capable Attendance Officer to join our growing team in an ongoing position, to start as soon as possible. This role will be 42 weeks a year with 37.5 hours per week, equivalent to 0.8851 FTE.

The successful applicant will bring strong communication and organisational skills, a high level of IT literacy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and staff. You will play an important role in monitoring attendance, supporting families, and helping students engage positively in their education.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee student attendance processes, ensuring accurate records, timely follow-up, and compliance with school requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with families and school teams to promote positive attendance outcomes.
  • Identify and address attendance concerns while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ensure accurate attendance reporting, compliance and record management to support school accountability.
  • Provide proactive administrative support across attendance, enrolments, events and general office operations.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a committed Christian faith by actively supporting the College’s Christian life and aligning with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Christian Lifestyle Statement, and educational objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organisational, and IT literacy skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with co-workers and the community.
  • Commitment to the establishment and maintenance of quality relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective and constructive team member and a willingness to fully participate in school activities.
  • Holds, or is willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and Department of Education Criminal History Clearance.

Desirable:

  • To have appropriate qualifications in the advertised area – TAFE/Business College.
  • Experience in a school office environment.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and TASS.
  • First Aid Certificate.
