Northshore Christian Grammar School (NCGS), a growing K–12 school located in the coastal suburb of Alkimos, is part of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). We are seeking passionate and nurturing Early Years Teachers to join our growing team in a full-time, ongoing position. This role commences on the 1st January 2027 with the possibility of a role in Term 4 2026.
The successful applicant will design play-based, inquiry-driven learning experiences that honour each child’s unique developmental stage while building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching aligned with AITSL, EYLF, NQS and curriculum standards.
- Create a Christ-centred classroom that fosters wellbeing, wonder and delight.
- Use diverse teaching strategies to support every learner’s success.
- Plan, assess and report effectively, providing meaningful feedback to students and families.
- Contribute positively to the school community through pastoral care, school events and other duties as required.
- Uphold school policies, values and professional responsibilities at all times.
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
- Experience as an EY Teacher in a play-based/Inquiry setting.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with staff, parents and students.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective and constructive team member and a willingness to fully participate in school activities.
- Demonstrate a skill or personal interest that can benefit your students beyond the classroom.
- Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to apply.
