HSC Science / Maths Teacher – Temporary Full-Time Position – 12 months

Commencing on the 18 January 2027

St. Andrew’s Christian School (STACS) is a growing Preparatory to Year 12 coeducational school in a rural setting situated close to Grafton in the beautiful Clarence Valley. We are seeking a motivated Christian Science Teacher to join a supportive and collaborative staff who provide a quality education in the STACS community.

Key responsibilities and position description:

The School is seeking a Temporary Full Time Science / Maths teacher to join STACS in 2026, to teach HSC Physics or Biology; Stage 4 & 5 Science and Mathematics in the Secondary School. The successful candidate will be an exceptional educator, who is highly motivated to support STACS to maintain and develop learning and innovation, ensure continued academic achievement and inspire, engage and value every student.

Essential Criteria

• A demonstrated commitment to Christ.
• Be willing to support the Christian ethos and values of the School.
• Subscribe to our Statement of Faith (available on our website).
• Appropriate teaching qualifications and accreditation in NSW.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher.
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students to enhance student knowledge and understanding.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Experience in teaching Science – HSC Physics and/or Biology; Science and Mathematics in Stages 4 & 5.
• Knowledge of curriculum and the ability to deliver effective pedagogy in an innovative and engaging manner.
