Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Western Australia) Ltd is seeking a creative and passionate full-time primary teacher for Esperance Christian School, commencing mid-January, 2025. This is a fixed-term contract position with the possibility of permanency after successful review.
This position will be responsible for teaching a composite primary class. As an excellent classroom teacher, the successful applicant will have a deep and broad knowledge of current issues and best practice in education, demonstrating the capacity to work harmoniously with teams, whether in supervisory, collegial or advisory contexts. The successful applicant will have a strong vision for and commitment to the values of Adventist Education. They will be able to cater for the learning needs of individual students, and preferably have experience in delivering an integrated curriculum in a composite classroom setting.
Situated on the beautiful south coast, Esperance Christian School is a family-oriented school that caters for students from Kindergarten (3 and 4 years old) to Year 6. Application Requirements
The successful applicant will have:
- a personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to the Seventh-day Adventist Church;
- clear communication with students, colleagues and the wider community regarding educational and welfare issues;
- an appropriate tertiary education degree;
- registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (prior to commencement); and
the ability to meet and maintain the criteria of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at the proficient level according to legislation.
