School Retail Manager (0.8FTE)

Nowra Christian School is currently inviting applications from committed Christians of Protestant persuasion who are active in their local church, to join our team in 2027, as the: School Retail Manager Part-time role (0.8 FTE across 5 days/week) managing the school’s Canteen and Uniform Shop.

• Be responsible for the operational, financial, and customer service management of the School’s retail services, comprising the Canteen and Uniform Shop.
• Manage staff and parent volunteers in a welcoming, collaborative environment, supporting students and families every day.

Selection Criteria

• Strong Christian faith and active membership of a local Protestant church
• Demonstrated experience managing retail, catering, or commercial food service operations (school setting preferred).
• Strong stock control, inventory management, and basic financial reconciliation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to manage staff, engage volunteers, and handle parent inquiries diplomatically.
• High organisational capabilities to balance peak service times (lunch runs, back-to-school trading) within a 0.8 FTE schedule.
• Proficiency with POS software, online ordering platforms, and basic Office (Excel, Word) & Google Suite.

Mandatory Requirements

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or commitment to attain prior to commencement).
• Reference from current Protestant church minister
• Completion of the school’s online application form
• Current NSW Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance
