Parental Leave Full-Time Contract Position – June 2026 to June 2027
Mount Annan Christian College is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Christian professional who demonstrates a commitment to their Christian faith, as evidenced by regular attendance and involvement at at Church, to this full-time, contract position. The role provides support and assistance to the Library staff in all aspects of the day to day operations of the Library.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Preferred Diploma of Library/Information Services or Certificate IV in Library/Information Services or equivalent
- The successful candidate will have good time management and organisational skills.
- A flexible approach to daily tasks is essential.
- The ability to prioritise effectively and adjust to the changing needs of the library environment.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work and contribute as part of a team
- Experience working with students
- Interest and knowledge of recent literature publications would be an asset but not essential
- Well-developed team skills as a member who actively contributes to a collaborative environment within the library and the broader school community
- Current Working with Children Check
Key responsibilities
- Support the school’s library services, including:
* Cataloguing, processing and book covering
* Circulation of resources for students and staff - Create engaging displays and support reading initiatives and special events
- Reading to some Primary classes
- Assist with the shelving of books
- Assist with supervision of students studying in the library and in break times
- Assist with stocktake
- To maintain the library as a space that is welcoming and conducive to the students’ learning.
- Other duties as directed
