Maitland Christian School is seeking expressions of interest for the appointment of a part-time (0.8 FTE) Primary Year 2 classroom teacher, to cover a maternity leave position to the end of the 2026 school year. • A passion for quality Christian Education with a heart to see students reach their God-given potential;
• A committed Christian actively involved in their local church;
• An ability to actively subscribe to and promote the foundational beliefs and doctrines of Maitland Christian School Limited;
• The ability to relate well to staff, students, parents and the broader community;
• A commitment to work within a collaborative team environment;
• Well-developed communication, administration and interpersonal skills;
• The capacity to further develop a transformational Christian Education integrated into the curriculum and delivered with an increasing missional focus
• Experience in delivering quality teaching practices, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy, using an evidence-based quality teaching framework with explicit teaching foundations and data-informed practice
• Excited about being instructionally coached to facilitate their growth in effecting improved student learning outcomes, both in their class and across the Primary School
• An understanding of the requirements of supporting students with learning diagnoses in a mainstream classroom environment.
• The ability to operate in a strengths-based framework and to develop staff and student culture around this framework
• Salary will align with NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2024 at the successful applicant’s level of responsibility and experience.
