Job Title: Teacher Aide
Job Type: Part-time position – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Location: Coast Christian School, Bensville NSW
Salary: Commensurate to the applicable step in the successful employee’s qualifications and experience aligning with the current NSW Christian Schools General Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement.

Position Description:
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic and caring Teacher Aide to support our Prep classroom of 20, 4–5 year old students Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and has a heart for nurturing students within a Christian learning environment. Our Prep program focuses on helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually as they begin their school journey.
About the Role
The Teacher Aide will work closely with the classroom teacher to support daily learning activities, provide individual assistance to students, and help create a positive, engaging and Christ-centred classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the classroom teacher in delivering learning activities for Prep students Assist children with classroom tasks, routines and transitions Encourage positive behaviour, kindness and cooperation among students Provide one-on-one or small group support where needed Help prepare classroom resources, learning materials and setting up inviting learning experiences Actively supervise students during activities, developmental play times and transitions Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment Support the Christian values and culture of the school

Desirable Qualifications
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) – REQUIRED Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or working towards) Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards) Experience working with early childhood or Prep-aged children First Aid certification (desirable)
