Australian Christian College (ACC) is a protestant non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them.

ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries, with 17 schools in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia.

ACC Singleton (ACCS) is located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. Offering programs from Prep to Year 12, ACCS has been operating for over 12 years. The College has experienced considerable growth in student numbers and improvement in student learning results in recent years. During 2026 work will commence on a new 18 classroom building that will help accommodate the growth in student numbers from 420 to 600 students over the next 5 years.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and visionary educator to lead our Senior School (Years 7–12). This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our Senior School in our next phase of growth.

As Head of Senior School, you will play a key role on the Executive Leadership Team, working closely with the Principal to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, pastoral care, and staff leadership. You will inspire a team of dedicated educators, champion student wellbeing, and guide the development of programs that reflect our mission and values.

This position will commence in January 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong and servant-hearted leadership for the Senior School
  • Lead curriculum planning, assessment, and NESA compliance
  • Foster innovative and engaging learning environments
  • Support staff development, wellbeing, and professional growth
  • Oversee student wellbeing and pastoral care frameworks
  • Cultivate a positive, Christ-centred school culture
  • Promote academic excellence and personal growth in every student
  • Contribute to co-curricular programs, camps, chapels, and events
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, staff, and the wider community

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be directly involved in the life of the school.

About You

  • You are a passionate Christian educator with a strong commitment to lead in a Christ-centred school. You’re driven by a desire to see students thrive — not only academically, but in character and faith.
  • You will bring:
    • A deep personal faith and active church involvement
    • Proven leadership experience within a school context
    • Excellent knowledge of curriculum, compliance, and pedagogy
    • A commitment to student wellbeing and holistic education
    • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
    • The ability to inspire, support, and lead others
    • A willingness to contribute to the broader life of the school

Qualifications:

  • A recognised degree in Education
  • NESA accreditation
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A Master’s degree in education or leadership (or willingness to undertake)
