Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.
The Wantirna South Campus is seeking an experienced Student Wellbeing Coordinator to join our College community. This part-time role (FTE 0.6) will ideally be worked on Mondays or Fridays, with other days negotiable.
In this role, you will champion holistic student wellbeing across mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual domains. You will provide one-on-one and group support, counselling, and pastoral care, responding to the diverse needs of students. You will cultivate a warm and welcoming environment within our Wellbeing Hub and counselling rooms that promotes a sense of safety and comfort for students. You will work collaboratively with teachers, Year Level Coordinators, and parents, connecting students with external supports where needed, and promote initiatives that foster wellbeing and spiritual growth across the campus.

You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Have relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in counselling young people. Previous experience in a school setting will be highly regarded.
- Have experience in clinical supervision of students undergoing supervised professional counselling practice (ideal, but not essential)
- Have high level interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Are Health and Safety minded
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
