Learning Support Assistant (Kinder)

Our Wantirna South Kindergarten have a fantastic opportunity for a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. This role is an ongoing part time role, working Monday (8:15am – 11:45am), Tuesday (8:15am – 3:15pm) and Thursday (8:15am – 3:15pm). 

In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide individualised assistance to students with additional learning needs. Your patience, empathy, and creativity will help create an inclusive, engaging, and joyful learning environment where every child feels seen, supported, and valued.

There is potential for a suitably qualified person (Certificate III or IV in School-based Education Support) to work up to 5-days per week by combining this role with a part-time Learning Support Assistant (Primary) role.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

• Have a Diploma of Early Childhood and Care (in a course recognised through ACECQA) at a minimum
• (Relevant experience and/or training in education/disability support will be highly regarded, but not essential)
• Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities
• Are able to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and other support staff
• Can demonstrate high level communication and interpersonal skills
• Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
• Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
