Piano Tutor – Contractor

Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2026.

The Narre Warren South Campus is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, professional music tutor of Piano to commence at the start of Term 2, 2026. The position is currently 8 hours of tutoring spread over 2 days.

Skills particular to the job:

• private tuition experience from young children-VCE
• ability to teach a variety of genres including improvisation, worship music and contemporary styles
• hold a tertiary Music degree, equivalent, or degree in progress
• the ability to prepare students for AMEB exams and performances is essential
• competency with the following platforms: Office 365 suite, composition software e.g. Sibelius)
• great verbal and written skills for communicating with students, parents, and staff
• proven ability to move students forward in their learning and select appropriate repertoire

The successful tutor will work within a great music department as an independent contractor, and therefore will require their own ABN, Insurance, and WWCC/ VIT registration. The College follows the VMTA recommended rates for private lessons.
