JOIN WAVERLEY CHRISTIAN COLLEGE FOR THE VITAL ROLE OF HEAD OF PRIMARY – NARRE WARREN SOUTH
Waverley Christian College is a culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12 seeking to offer students a vibrant and quality Christian educational experience. We seek to provide a dynamic learning environment where children are inspired to develop their God-given abilities in an atmosphere of genuine love, care and support. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 500+ staff across both campuses in 2025.
We’re seeking a Head of Primary who understands that primary leadership isn’t just about strategy—it’s about care, service, clarity, and deep commitment to a Christ-centred vision of education. This is a calling for someone who can faithfully steward a thriving Primary School, while shaping the lives of students, families, and staff for Christ in lasting ways. This is a full-time position commencing in January 2026, after the retirement of our well-regarded current Head of Primary at the end of 2025.
As part of the College’s Senior Management Team, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Primary School and help chart its long-term course. You’ll be entrusted with the wellbeing and development of our students, the professional growth of our staff, and the continued strengthening of a community built on faith, integrity and learning.
We are looking for an individual who:
- A recognised educational leader with a deep passion for primary Christian education
- Is a qualified teacher and holds a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)

- Brings depth of experience in education with demonstrated leadership in a Primary role and a proven capacity to shape curriculum, guide staff, manage complex school operations, and improve student outcomes.
- Embodies a collegial and inspirational leadership style, capable of building trust, fostering collaboration, and uniting teams around a shared vision for learning
- Builds strong, respectful relationships, and works effectively in partnership with students, families, staff, and fellow leaders to strengthen the whole-of-College vision.
- Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance the learning experience, lift educational standards, and cultivate a love of God and learning in every student.
