Warwick Christian College is seeking a suitably qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic Receptionist / Student Services Officer to join our busy Administration Office. About the Role
As a Student Services / Receptionist your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage daily student attendance, including late arrivals, early departures and absences.
- Responding to staff, parent and student enquiries ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided in a timely manner.
- Assist and maintain day to day administrative systems which includes accurate data entry, checking of information within databases systems and uploading of information.
- Greet and assist visitors, parents, students and staff in Student Services and Reception in a professional, courteous and positive manner.
- Attending to sick and injured students, administering medications and ensuring Medical Action Plans are current.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a First Aid qualification.
- Have a demonstrated capacity for using initiative and undertake self-directed work with minimal supervision.
- Be well organised, accurate, creative and innovative with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Have the ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to work.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in interactions with other staff, students and parents.
- Demonstrate integrity coupled with a strong work ethic.
- Work co-operatively in a team environment, and Support the Christian ethos of the school
Highly desirable but not essential:
- Strong Computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office
- Have previous experience in a similar position, working in a school environment.
Essential qualifications are:
- a current Blue Card (Queensland Working with Children Check)
- Right to work in Australia
