ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ACEQA Level 7 or above qualification) as our Kindergarten Director/Educational Leader/Teacher. The successful applicant will be permanent, full-time and available for an immediate start. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Director

  • Lead, mentor, and manage kindergarten staff, fostering a collaborative, Christ-centred team culture.
  • Ensure the service operates in full compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • Lead a strong culture of child safety, ensuring the Child Safe Standards are embedded in everyday practice and that every child feels safe, respected, heard and supported.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including resourcing, workplace health and safety, incident management, and child protection protocols.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children, families, and staff.
  • Liaise with the Principal and school leadership on strategic planning and program development and act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and families.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing review of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

Educational Leader

  • Guide, mentor, and coach educators in their pedagogical practices, documentation, and individual professional growth.
  • Establish effective programming and evaluation cycles, ensuring individual child observations and documentation meet high standards.
  • Integrate the school’s Christian values and biblical worldview into daily programs and centre culture.
    Build strong relationships with families, supporting children’s development, wellbeing, and transition to Prep.
  • Facilitate a strong culture of critical reflection to help staff evaluate and enrich their daily pedagogy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An ACECQA approved Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Blue Card / Blue Card Exemption.
  • Completed approved Child Safety Training (Geccko Training)
  • Valid First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma management
  • Deep understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Childhood Learning Frameworks (EYLF and QKLG), and QLD regulatory requirements.
