With the retirement of Ian Hewitt as Principal, Trinity Christian School Council invites applications from experienced, committed Christian school leaders to take up the opportunity to lead and strategically grow the School.

Trinity Christian School is a dynamic Pre-school to Year 12 co-educational Christian School located in the Tuggeranong Valley area of Canberra. The School was established in 1980 and seeks to provide students with a
Christ-centred education in a learning community of love, nurture and service.

Trinity provides many outstanding educational opportunities and these coupled with educational excellence has
led to Trinity’s reputation as a centre of excellence. Trinity has a supportive environment where the respectful
relationships between students, parents and staff enable each student to engage positively in learning and to
recognise their strengths. The School offers the BSSS and VET Courses with an Early Learning Centre recognised
as a Trade Training Centre. Recent building works have seen the development of a Performing Arts precinct, Middle School refurbishment and extensive landscaping.

The School Council invites applications from future-focussed educational leaders to become the next Principal
as the School marks 44 years of Christian education. With a clear understanding of, and experience in Christian
education, the next Principal will lead the school on its continued journey of excellence and build upon the
outstanding reputation it enjoys in the Canberra area. The successful applicant will demonstrate a record of
exceptional communication and change management expertise that enhances holistic outcomes for students.

Beginning in Term 3 2025, the successful candidate will:

■  be a committed Christian demonstrating a strong understanding of Christian education
■  prioritise relationships, build trust and inspire a community, being highly visible and connected with all
stakeholders
■  articulate a clear vision for Christian education which enhances the quality of education at the School and
anticipates the future needs of learners and teachers
■  demonstrate a high level of engagement in education, with knowledge of the Learning Powered Approach
informing teaching and learning in the School
■  lead and develop a high performing leadership team, fostering a positive culture aligned with the School’s
strategic vision
■  have experience in change management to maximise the outcomes for staff and students
■  demonstrate an understanding of all elements of school leadership, which is required to successfully manage  finances, risk, human resources, compliance, and facilities.
