About the Role
To work as part of a team in our Early Learning Centre (ELC) leading high quality, Christian Early Childhood Education and care to children in a manner that shows a professional commitment to the development and care of each child, that is God honouring and consistent with the school’s vision to provide a Christ-centred education in a learning community of Love, Nurture and Service. The early childhood teacher is responsible to the Principal through the Head of School (P-5) and the Director of the ELC.
Essential Criteria
- Have a genuine interest in the welfare of students and also in their social, spiritual and academic development.
- Have the ability to facilitate and engage children in authentic early childhood programs.
- Have an understanding of relevant early childhood legislation and regulations which govern the provision of early childhood programs.
- Have the ability to document children’s learning using a variety of methods.
- Demonstrate the ability to work successfully as part of a team including the ability to critically reflect on your practice and attitudes and how these affect the wider team culture.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to contribute to a positive and professional team culture.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to attend and participate in professional development opportunities.
