About the Role

The Vocational Education and Training (VET) Coordinator & Careers Adviser works directly to the Head of
Senior School in collaboration with the various Faculty Coordinators.

They are responsible for all aspects related to advising, monitoring and administering the VET courses offered within the school and for providing careers and educational counselling, advice and support to assist students in finding their purpose and plan for their future. In this role they assist students with decisions relating to levels of study and course selection and liaising with the various Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
They are responsible for the ongoing development, compliance and administrative support of a rich and
invigorating, Christ centred learning experience for VET students as part of the Senior School Leadership
Team. They take the lead role in overseeing all aspects of compliance and administration in relation to the
VET qualification requirements, as we deliver an authentic Christian curriculum which gives attention to:

> meeting the legislative requirements around the documentation and delivery of our educational
programs
> overseeing and managing all aspects of student assessments data and competencies in relation to
the various VET qualifications offered
> providing careers and educational counselling, advice, and support.

The VET Coordinator & Careers Adviser is a full-time Position of Responsibility 2 (PR2) and will undertake a
0.62FTE teaching load in the Senior School.

  • A gifted, dynamic teacher with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the development and educational needs of students and a passion for encouraging them in faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Excellent academic qualifications and subject knowledge.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to relate with compassion, humility, grace, strength and integrity to students, families and staff.
  • Excellent leadership and administrative skills, including team building, coaching and mentoring.
  • Flexibility to work the hours required to meet critical timelines and other responsibilities of your role.
