About the Role
The Risk and Compliance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and compliance of the school community. This role oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management frameworks, Work Health and Safety (WHS) systems, and compliance obligations. The position also manages the planning and approval processes for school excursions and off-site activities, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and the school’s Christian values.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in risk management, WHS, compliance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational or not-for-profit setting.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, privacy, workers compensation and risk management frameworks.
- Experience in policy development, compliance reporting, and incident investigation.
- Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
- A committed Christian with a personal faith in Jesus Christ and alignment with the School’s Doctrinal Basis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Discretion, integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality.
