About the Role
The People & Culture Administrator is part of a vibrant and busy faith based business services unit. The
role has a strong service element, and provides administrative support with recruitment, interviewing,
onboarding and exiting of staff and apprenticeships. The role interacts with leadership and payroll on a
regular basis to ensure the accurate creation of employment contracts and related documentation.
Engagement with workers compensation process will form part of this role and working to provide
Administration support for the Risk and Compliance Manager. Some policy support may be required.
The role functions with a degree of autonomy and self-direction, it requires a keen eye for detail, high
levels of professionalism and productivity, knowledge of employment legislation and an understanding of
industrial instruments.
The role reports on a day-to-day basis to the People and Culture Manager, who reports to the Business
Manager of the Business Services Unit.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications
> Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
Experience
> Demonstrated experience in dealing appropriately with highly confidential and sensitive information.
> Desirable Experience in a range of accounting functions relevant to the School.
Abilities and skills
> Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the human resources role
> Demonstrated experience in dealing appropriately with highly confidential and sensitive information
> Well-developed Microsoft Office Skills and experience working with HR databases/platforms
> Interpreting employment legislation, instruments and policies and procedures
