Head of Senior Primary (Years 3-6)

Toongabbie Christian College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 co-educational College in the western suburbs of Sydney. The College is a ministry of Toongabbie Baptist Church. Our purpose is providing a Christ-centred education for life and eternity.

Toongabbie Christian College seeks to appoint a Head of Senior Primary (Years 3-6) who will:

• Maintain a commitment to a faithful walk with the Lord Jesus Christ
• Demonstrate ongoing commitment to the College’s Purpose and Purpose statements
• Commit to a growing understanding of the place of education, teaching and learning from a Biblical Worldview
• Set an example to students, staff and parents/carers in matters of faith and conduct

The Role

• This is a permanent full-time leadership role commencing 26 May 2025 (A later commencement date may be considered)
• Position of Responsibility Level 3 (PoR 3) in accordance with the NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff MEA
• Relevant teaching qualifications
• Current Teacher Registration in NSW or the ability to obtain such registration
• Limited teaching responsibilities

Specific Criteria

• Pastoral care and leadership of staff
• Deep understanding of student wellbeing in a Years 3 to 6 setting
• Passionate about the education journey of Years 3 to 6 students
• Develop ongoing relationships with parents/carers
• In depth knowledge of classroom pedagogy and curriculum

• Certified copies of qualifications
• Current Working With Children Check or an ability to obtain such a check
• Evidence of a First Aid credential or a commitment to obtain such a credential by the commencement date
