We are seeking a motivated and practical Design & Technology & STEM Assistant to support our secondary Design & Technology and STEM programs at our Paralowie Campus. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and has experience in workshop, building, manufacturing, maintenance, or technical support environments.

  • 20-25 hours per week (0.533 – 0.667 FTE) 41 weeks per year
  • Support and Administration Staff – Grade 2

About us

Temple Christian College is a Year 7 to 12 Christian co-educational school operating over three campuses in metropolitan Adelaide. We encourage each student in the development of their Christian character and calling. Acting as an extension of the home and the Christian church, our passion is to provide a safe and encouraging Christian community to prepare our students for their life beyond the classroom.

About the role

Working closely with the Design & Technology and STEM teaching teams, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of workshops and learning spaces, ensuring students and staff have access to safe, organised and well-maintained facilities. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining workshop machinery, tools and equipment
  • Supporting teachers and students during practical lessons
  • Ordering resources, equipment and supplies
  • Managing records, stock control and administration tasks
  • Assisting with WHS compliance requirements
  • Preparing classrooms and workshop spaces for learning

The successful applicant will

  • Be a committed Christian active in church fellowship
  • Have (or be willing to obtain) a current Working with Children Check
  • Be residing in and have entitlements to work in South Australia
  • Have a willingness to undertaken mandatory child safe training
  • Be commited to workplace safety and continuous improvement
  • Work cooperatively with both staff and students in a team environment
  • Have experience in building, manufacturing, maintenance, trades or a related field
