For over forty years, Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA) has been a part of the Christian educational community of Perth since its humble beginnings in Midland in 1982. SCEA is a not-for-profit association network of seven schools across Perth with more than 5,000 students and more than 1000 staff, SCEA is united in its mission:

We invite applications to be a part of SCEA’s Relief register. You can nominate to work at any of our seven schools at Alkimos, Ellenbrook, Bennett Springs, Middle Swan, Mundaring, Walliston, and Bedfordale as a relief Teacher, relief Education Assistant, relief Administration, or Relief Grounds and Maintenance.

This is more than just a relief position – it’s a calling to represent Christ through service and support the flourishing of our school communities.

Selection criteria vary depending on the specific position, but some key criteria are consistent:

  • To have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
  • To accept the Association’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of Belief and Educational Objectives and be living a lifestyle consistent with these statements.
  • To have, or be willing to apply for, a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), and
    Department of Education Criminal History Clearance (for non-Teachers) or TRBWA Registration (for Teachers).

  • A covering letter addressing the relevant Selection Criteria, a brief statement outlining the competencies you would bring to the role, and your reason for applying
  • A current resume/CV
  • Copies of qualifications
  • Copies of valid Working with Children Check, and TRBWA Registration (for Teachers) or Department of Education Criminal History Clearance (for non-Teachers), or willingness to apply.
  • For Teachers, please download and complete the attached FTE History form. You will be required to attach it when submitting your application.

  • An email will be sent acknowledging your application.
  • Successful applicants will receive a phone call for an interview.
  • Unsuccessful applicants will receive correspondence via email.
