HASS & Indonesian Teacher (Secondary)

Mundaring Christian College is a thriving non-denominational, co-educational K–12 school, situated in the picturesque Perth Hills across two campuses with a Primary Campus in Mundaring and Secondary Campus in Parkerville, proudly operated by Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA). We are seeking a dedicated and passionate HASS & Indonesian Teacher to join our Secondary school team in a part-time (0.6 FTE) role commencing 1 January 2027. This is a fixed-term cover ending 24 September 2027.

This is not just a role, it’s a sacred opportunity to build inquiry, communication, critical thinking, and intercultural understanding skills in young people. You will teach with purpose and conviction, sowing seeds of faith and learning that will shape lives for eternity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging HASS and Years 7-8 Indonesian programs aligned with SCSA requirements for planning, assessment and reporting.
• Differentiate teaching and collaborate on CAPs and ILPs to support diverse student learning needs.
• Maintain positive, productive classrooms through effective behaviour management and student engagement strategies.
• Use assessment data, feedback and accurate reporting to monitor progress and improve student outcomes.
• Contribute actively to College life while building strong partnerships with students, families and colleagues.

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Christian Lifestyle Statement and Educational Objectives.
• Willingness to uphold and contribute to the Christian life of the College.
• Knowledge of the Western Australian curriculum and an ability to teach it in an engaging manner.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum differentiation, assessment practices and providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a structured, positive learning environment.
• Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to apply.
