Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,800 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence with Christ-centred education that nurtures the whole child.

Swan Christian College is seeking a skilled and organised Administration Assistant to join us in a part-time, permanent position commencing 20 January 2027, or as negotiated. This role will be 30 hours a week for 42 weeks a year, equivalent to 0.708 FTE with 10 weeks of paid leave a year.

Working across Music, Dance, Drama and Media, you will provide administrative support to the Performing Arts and Media department.

Approximately 10 to 15 days of casual work will need to be conducted near the end of Term 4 to facilitate a smooth handover.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide administrative support across the Performing Arts & Media faculty, assisting with events, projects and general office operations.
  • Assist with concerts, performances and assemblies, including sound, lighting and front-of-house operations.
  • Create, coordinate, or maintain event programs, posters, props and costumes for Performing Arts productions.
  • Coordinate private instrumental tuition, maintaining accurate student, tutor and instrument records.
  • Manage tutor bookings, inductions, and communication with staff, tutors and families.
  • Maintain and organise the music library, instruments and departmental equipment.

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the SCEA community.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT devices for data management and communication purposes.
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and the ability to work independently while responding positively to direction.
  • Holds, or is willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and Department of Education Criminal History Clearance.

  • Be skilled in using graphic design software.
