Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence with Christ-centred education that nurtures the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth of every student.
Swan Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our Senior School teaching team. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for Terms 3 and 4.
This is not just a role, it’s a sacred opportunity to inspire enthusiasm, fitness, and character in young people. You will teach with purpose and conviction, sowing seeds of faith and learning that will shape lives for eternity.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Understand and apply the biblical foundations underpinning the College’s values, aims, and practices.
- An enthusiastic and active contribution to the spiritual, academic, sporting, cultural and social life of the College.
- Develop and deliver engaging learning and assessment programs within a biblical framework that promote student growth and performance.
- Differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs and foster positive learning outcomes for all students.
- Provide pastoral care and maintain strong communication with students, parents and College staff.
- Ensure accurate student reporting and compliance with College policies and procedures.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
- Can build and maintain strong, healthy relationships with families, SCEA Head Office staff, and the College community.
- Holds a current Working with Children Check and valid TRBWA registration or willingness to apply for one.
Desirable:

- Passionate about mentoring young people and leading with confidence across diverse environments.
- Show initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills with students, parents and staff.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Able to prioritise workload.
- Able to teach Outdoor Education.
- Holds an LR Bus license.
- Holds a Bronze Medallion or equivalent.
