Property Services Supervisor

The opportunity

We are seeking a Property Services Supervisor to lead our team starting as soon as possible. In this role, you’ll oversee the upkeep of our school facilities, building and grounds, ensuring they are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for our staff, students, and wider community.

Relocation Assistance

We have developed a Relocation Assistance Package to help new employees moving to Whyalla. This includes payment of relocation expenses and a relocation allowance paid for the first year of employment. Accommodation is available at the start of the year while the successful applicant finds their own home. Conditions of the package will be discussed with the successful applicant.

About you

You bring strong leadership skills, hands-on maintenance knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem solving. You’re confident coordinating tasks, managing contractors, and making sure compliance and standards are upheld across the school. We are looking for someone who:

• Possesses excellent knowledge of building/maintenance matters, applicable WHS regulations and horticultural and landscaping principles.
• Demonstrates a wide range of maintenance or trade skills to perform a variety of tasks and the ability to manage projects of varying complexities.
• Brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
• Has experience working in a commercial environment and understands the importance of maintaining safe, compliant facilities.
• Places safety at the forefront of every task, demonstrating a strong commitment to protecting staff, students, and visitors while ensuring best practice standards are met.
• Holds a current White Card certificate or be willing to obtain.
• Hold a current driver’s licence.
• Is a committed Christian who is active in church fellowship to join our vibrant Christian community.
• Has an outstanding attention to detail.
• Has the ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Has a current Working With Children Check, have completed Responding to Risk of Harm, Abuse & Neglect in Education & Care (RRHAN-EC) training, and Protective Practices training or be willing to complete these upon commencement.
