Science Laboratory Assistant

St Philip’s Christian College Gosford is one of the leading independent educators in the Newcastle / Central Coast / Hunter Region. It is a non-denominational Christian School with an open enrolment policy.  We are currently seeking a part-time Science Laboratory Assistant (minimum 20 hours per week).

The successful applicant will:

• Promote the Christian vision and ethos of the school and broader organisation.
• Demonstrate a living relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Retain the appropriate qualifications to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of laboratory and technical practices. With a minimum Certificate IV with preference for a Diploma in the relevant area.
• Have a sound understanding of chemical and biological safety, and safe work practices in line with Codes of Practice.
• Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills.
• Have a high level of interpersonal skills leading to constructive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a willingness to embrace new technologies.
