The Casual Relief Teacher at St Andrews Christian College plays a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students. They are responsible for providing effective teaching and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and materials to ensure continuity of learning for students
- Implementing effective classroom management strategies to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Adhering to the school’s policies and procedures while promoting the Christian ethos and values
- Establishing positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support the overall educational experience
- Adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student needs
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the overall success of the school community
- Providing feedback on student progress and behavior to support ongoing assessment and reporting processes
