The Art Room Assistant at St Andrews Christian College plays a vital role in supporting the art department and contributing to the creative and artistic environment of the school. The position involves a range of responsibilities and tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the art department and support for students and staff. The main tasks of the Art Assistant include:

• Assisting art teachers with preparation and organisation of art materials, supplies, and equipment
• Helping maintain a clean, organised, and inspiring art environment
• Assisting with the setup and takedown of art displays and exhibitions
• Contributing to the development of visual arts projects and initiatives within the school community

The Art Assistant should have a passion for art, strong organisational skills, and an ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting students’ artistic growth.

Required experiences:

• Prior experience in assisting with art classes or workshops
• Demonstrated experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting
• Portfolio showcasing personal artwork or projects worked on
• Experience in organising and preparing art materials and supplies
• Familiarity with the Christian educational environment (preferred but not required)
