Position Vacant: Administration Officer
Seaview Christian College, Port Augusta, South Australia
Full time, commencing Term 1 (January) 2026
Seaview Christian College is an independent, non-denominational Christian College located in the city of Port Augusta, 322 kilometres north of Adelaide. Established in 2016, the College is one of 15 schools operated by Christian Community Ministries Ltd. The mission of Seaview Christian College is to provide Christ-centred schooling in an atmosphere of love, respect, peace and discipline which will encourage students to achieve their full potential for God.
Seaview Christian College is seeking a suitable person as an Administration officer. College staff are employed under the terms and conditions specified in the Christian Community Ministries Enterprise Agreement 2024, as amended from time to time. The Agreement includes provisions regarding mission, objectives and staff lifestyle requirements, basis for employment, classification of roles and employee entitlements (including remuneration and leave provisions). Staff will demonstrate a willingness to actively support the Christian aims of the College, demonstrate a strong commitment to the ethos of Christian education and be familiar with College policy, rules and expectations.
Position Summary:
The Administration Officer will share responsibility with existing team members for the Front Desk area. The role will encompass a variety of administrative and customer service activities, in particular Registrar and Fees Advisor role, as well as first aid support to students. The Administration team at Seaview Christian College is a dynamic and changing environment, as such the duties listed below are subject to change as the College continues to grow and develop.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Be the face and voice of the College
- Registrar duties – engage with prospective families, manage student enrolment process and data
- Fee Advisor duties – manage college fees and debtor management including liaising
- Generate reports and data for government reporting. Adhere to deadlines
- NAPLAN coordination
- Record student attendance and follow attendance policy procedures
- Be the second point of contact for all parents and visitors to the school
- Answer incoming internal and external telephone calls and redirect as appropriate
- Respond to requests for information from visitors, staff and parents
- Assist with all general administration tasks as required
- Student uniform shop sales
- Student services including provide first aid and recording of student data
- Assistance to Administration Manager and College Leadership
- Contribute to safe and healthy workplace by following WHS instructions and policies
- Whole school communication
- Assist in organising of events/excursions
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in working collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a team.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of the running of an Administration Office in a school environment
- Sound knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office software, including Outlook
- Ability to use EFTPOS machine, photocopiers, laminators and other general office equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students
- High level of problem-solving skills that support working in a dynamic and developing environment
- Ability to handle potentially sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.

- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Provide First Aid (or willingness to be trained)
- Mandatory Notification (RRHAN-EC) certificate, for which the training was done less than three years ago (or willingness to obtain)
