Location: either Canberra ACT or Work from Home (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne preferred)

FTE: Part time (0.5 FTE) Fixed Term: 3 months

Christian Schools Australia (CSA) is the largest association of Christian schools in the country and has member schools educating over 91,500 students and employing over 14,500 staff at more than 200 locations across Australia. CSA member schools provide high quality education within an authentic Christian learning community.

We are looking for someone with strong written and communication skills, as well as a solid working knowledge and application of quantitative methods and analysis. The Researcher will work closely with CSA’s Director of Research and Innovation (DRI) and the Public Policy team.  We have an extensive range of raw data collected over a diverse range of recent research projects which is ready for deeper analysis, interpretation and publication – and we need your help!

The successful applicant will have:

• A strong Christian faith and well-grounded Christian worldview
• Relevant graduate or postgraduate qualification(s) – ideally in Commerce, Marketing, Psychology, Social Science, Education, Economics and/or Statistics or other relevant degree
• Minimum two years’ experience in quantitative research
• Strong quantitative data analysis skills with ability to translate results into meaningful findings and recommendations
• Excellent data analysis skills: proficiency in statistical analyses and experience using quantitative software programs (eg SPSS and/or R or Q)
• Experience with statistical analysis and statistical methods used in the market and social research industry
• Strong graphic design abilities and data visualisation expertise, particularly with PowerPoint and Word
• Understanding of how to explain quantitative data in a way that is accessible and insightful
• Excellent communications skills (oral and written)
• Exceptional IT skills: advanced MS Excel, advanced CSV files, PowerPoint
• Very strong attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
