Website Rehoboth Christian College

Rehoboth Christian College (WA)

We are seeking a highly motivated ICT Technician to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity as soon as possible.

If you are tech-savvy, embrace a forward-thinking approach, are a critical thinker, reliable and have a love for sharing life and faith with staff and students, this is the role for you.

About Rehoboth

As the first Christian parent-governed school in Western Australia, we are pioneers of distinctly Christian education. Our rich heritage stretches back almost sixty years; we have learned a fair bit in that time and are always seeking ways to improve and innovate.

Rehoboth exists to partner with families in their God-given task of nurturing and educating their children. You will be joining a team who really believe in their mission to lead students to think and live for the glory of God in every aspect of their lives.

About the Position

The position presents a unique opportunity for an ICT Technician to provide support for the use of business technology and innovative education practices in core areas across the College. You will be assisting with all aspects of the management of student and staff devices and other technologies used in the classroom, in line with the position description.

We value the following personal attributes in potential candidates:

  • Technical Aptitude: The ideal candidate should have a natural curiosity about technology and a willingness to learn. With experience and a passion for finding innovative technological solutions by evaluating organisational processes, mirroring and then supporting them with technological processes.
  • User-Focused: A friendly and patient demeanour when assisting users is essential along with strong verbal and written communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Adaptability: Technology evolves rapidly, so adaptability and a willingness to stay updated and apply new knowledge conscientiously through self-training and on-the-job experience are crucial.
  • Collaborative: Works well with colleagues, teachers, and students to create a positive technology experience. Be able to think creatively to assist us in harnessing our technological resources to improve our processes and remove burdens and obstacles from staff in their work.

The below requirements are advantageous but not essential:

  • Possess relevant tertiary and industry qualifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but we’re open to passionate tech enthusiasts who are eager to learn.

What You Need to Succeed

Apart from the necessary requirements mentioned, we look for people who are a great cultural fit. Rehoboth is a community of Christians – parents and staff alike – and we are all about supporting each other in our spiritual walks and encouraging students to explore their faith and discover their God-given gifts.

Because of the deeply Christian nature of our College, we consider all staff to be role models to students, no matter what position they have. We take your active involvement in a local Protestant Christian church, a deeply committed Christian lifestyle, and ability to articulate your personal Christian faith as evidence of your desire to help build a vibrant Christian community at Rehoboth.
