ABOUT THE ROLE
Regent College is excited to introduce a new position, the Dean of Curriculum and Pedagogy (Years 3-6).
This role will have both leadership and teaching components with leadership and teaching ratios to be discussed during the interview.
This is a Full-Time 1.0FTE position, commencing at earliest convenience on T4, 2024 or T1, 2025.
The Dean of Curriculum and Pedagogy is tasked with creating a challenging yet nurturing learning environment within the College, with the Deputy Principal’s and Principal’s support.
Drawing on expertise in current curriculum and teaching techniques, the Dean oversees developing and maintaining an engaging and rigorous childhood learning program and environment.
The Dean is highly regarded as an exemplary teacher and leader within the staff and parent community. They have consistently demonstrated innovative teaching practice and can initiate and lead activities that improve educational opportunities and outcomes for all students.
The Dean excels in mentoring teachers and using activities to enhance their knowledge, practice, and professional involvement. Additionally, they foster creative and innovative thinking among their colleagues.
Subject to the discretion of the Principal and Deputy Principal, the Dean of Curriculum and Pedagogy is responsible for managing the teaching and learning program.
