We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following Permanent, Full-time position:

Permanent, Full-time Inclusive Education Coordinator (1.0 FTE including a 0.5FTE teaching component)

Commencing: 14 April 2026

We are looking for a dynamic Inclusive Education Coordinator (IEC) who will collaborate with the Primary Leadership Team, PS teachers and PS Education Assistants to provide an accessible and excellent education for all students. The IEC will provide direction to the IE Team (teachers and EAs) in both strategic and day-to-day capacities, and support all staff in providing inclusive education to students. This role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive educational environment that supports the diverse needs of all students, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, giftedness, and students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The successful applicants will:

  • Have relevant teaching qualifications and experience with a thorough understanding of the WA Curriculum and achievement standards, including ABLEWA.
  • Be approachable and relate well to students, parents and fellow staff members.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian education.

  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Inclusive Education Team to deliver high-quality support and intervention for students with additional needs.
  • Support and mentor teachers and education assistants, fostering professional growth and collaborative practice.
  • Partner with school leadership and teaching staff to strengthen inclusive teaching practices and ensure accessible learning for all students.
  • Support teachers in the development and implementation of documented learning plans and effective strategies for students with additional needs.
  • Coordinate the identification, assessment and ongoing support of students with diverse learning needs, using data to monitor student progress and the impact of interventions.
  • Oversee funding applications and ensure appropriate documentation for students requiring additional support.
  • Work collaboratively with families and external specialists to ensure coordinated support for students. Contribute to strategic planning and school improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a school culture that values diversity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Undertake teaching responsibilities as appropriate within the scope of the role.

  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, that can be used effectively with staff, students and parents.
  • You are an organised and effective planner, and you manage your time well.
  • You are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that students are always well-provided for

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience related to the teaching responsibility required by the position.
  • Current Western Australia Australian Teachers Registration Board Certificate of Registration (TRBWA).
  • Current Working With Children Card.
  • Current Police Clearance

Desired Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience with the Google Suite
  • Sounds Write Trained
  • Trained in intervention programmes such a MacqLit.
  • First Aid certified

Additional Requirements:

  • The successful applicant will be expected to complete the National Principals Child Safe Modules if they have not already been completed.
  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia (VEVO checks will be conducted to confirm your eligibility to work in Australia)
