About the Teaching Role
We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about Science and enjoys helping young people develop as confident thinkers, informed citizens, critical thinkers and engaged learners.

You will have:

• an active Christian faith
• relevant qualifications and experience in teaching Secondary Science, with a strong knowledge of the Science curriculum and Biology, with ATAR Biology experience preferred, including current educational practices and achievement standards.
• exemplary teaching practice, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based Science lessons, including practical and experimental learning experiences that cater for a range of abilities and learning needs.
• a commitment to developing students’ scientific knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving, inquiry, research and analytical skills, fostering curiosity and an understanding of the natural world.
• the ability to effectively assess, monitor and report on student learning and progress, with experience preparing students for senior secondary assessment where applicable, while maintaining positive classroom and behaviour management practices.
• confidence in integrating technology, practical investigations and contemporary scientific resources into teaching and learning, together with a commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective teaching practice.

About Promotional Opportunity – Year Level Coordinator

This opportunity would suit an experienced teacher who enjoys pastoral leadership, building strong relationships with students and families, and contributing more broadly to the culture and life of a secondary school.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Oversee the pastoral care, well-being, and character development of the Year Group.
• Demonstrated experience in pastoral care, student wellbeing and behaviour management within a secondary school setting would be required.
• Manage and follow up on student behaviour and well-being concerns.
• Develop strong relationships and communication with students, staff and families.
• Coordinate Year Group activities, camps, excursions and events.
• Maintain accurate pastoral and student records in TASS.
• Liaise with Form Teachers, HOLAs, LACs, Counsellors and Chaplaincy to support students.
• Support student transition, orientation and induction.
• Promote high academic and behavioural expectations aligned with College values.
• Coordinate Year Group staff meetings and parent information events.
• Support Student Councillors and students requiring additional care.
• Assist with student placement, class/form organisation and transition planning.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience related to the teaching responsibility required by the position.
• Current Western Australia Australian Teachers Registration Board Certificate of Registration (TRBWA).
• Current Working With Children Card.
• Current Police Clearance (issued in the last 3 months)
• You must have the right to live and work in Australia (VEVO checks will be conducted to confirm your eligibility to work in Australia).
