Due to the continued growth of our College, and an increase in student numbers, we are excited to announce a variety of new positions available across our Learning Areas.
As part of this recruitment drive, we are seeking expressions of interest for the following Part-time position:
Physical Education and Health Teacher (Secondary School: Year 7 – 12) : Part-time (0.44 with the possibility of it increasing according to the qualifications of the applicant).
We are seeking a passionate, dynamic and driven Sports Teacher to lead, inspire and transform our students and shape young champions commencing in January 2025.
The successful applicant must have:
- relevant qualifications and experience, be approachable and relate well to students, parents and fellow staff members
- thorough knowledge of the Health and Physical Education Curriculum with the capacity to teach Health Studies and Physical Education Studies ATAR and General in the future
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
You will have:
- an active Christian faith
- a passion for living out your Christian faith and prepared to model, uphold and support the Ethos and Core Values of the College
- a deeply relational, friendly and open personality
- outstanding teaching skills in your subject area
- a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all the students that you teach
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team-building and mentoring skills
- the willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that your students are always well-provided for
- be prepared to be involved in Extra and Co-curricular training and sporting activities
- a commitment to supporting College policies and procedures relating to Classroom and Behaviour Management
- an understanding of technology and the ability to integrate this into your teaching confidently.
Desirable but not essential:
- A good knowledge of Basketball
- Strength and Conditioning qualifications
- Personal Trainer Certificate IV
Qualifications:
You will have:
- relevant tertiary qualifications and experience related to the teaching responsibility required by the position
current Western Australia Australian Teachers Registration Board Certificate of Registration (TRBWA) - license to drive a medium rigid bus as required
- current Bronze Medallion Certificate
- current First Aid certificate
- current Working With Children Card
- current Police Clearance.
Additional Requirements:
- The successful applicant will be expected to complete the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations Modules if not already completed.
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia (VEVO checks will be conducted to confirm your eligibility to work in Australia).
