General Responsibilities
• Understand, and commit to, the College Vision, Purpose, Values and Statement of Faith.
• Act in accordance with all relevant College and OSHC policies and procedures, including the Staff
Code of Conduct, and the OSHC Staff Handbook.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, students and parents.
• Actively contribute to the Christian life of the College community.
• Attend meetings, functions and extra-curricular activities as required.
• Participate in the College’s ongoing Professional Learning opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities
• Support the OSHC Director to provide a quality OSHC program in line with the requirements of the
National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place Framework v2.0.
• Coordinate and direct the day-to-day operation of the service and activities of educators when the
OSHC Director is absent.
• Work cooperatively with staff, families and allied professionals to provide a safe, nurturing and
stimulating environment for children attending the service.
• Support the Director to create and manage staffing rosters, oversee onboarding of new staff,
oversee inclusion (Allied Health) and transition, support enrolment interviews and undertake other
administrative duties as required.
• Support the Director to implement inclusion strategies for children.
• Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures, including oversight of Work Health and
Safety.
• Order and prepare food for children in a manner that complies with health standards.
• Assists in the design of the learning environment in response to the children’s engagement to extend
and enrich the experience.
• Support the Director to create and implement the Vacation Care program.
• Participates in the documentation of children’s learning under the Educational Leader’s guidance.
• Participate in staff meetings and enter into conversations on all aspects of the operation of the
OSHC service including children’s learning.
• Contribute to the development of the Quality Improvement Plan.
• Undergo appraisal meetings to set and review professional, wellbeing and practice goals.
• Adhere to all OSHC policies and procedures.

Qualifications
• An ACECQA approved diploma level qualification with related work experience highly desirable.
• South Australian Government Working with Children Check.
• Current HLTAID012 First Aid qualification.
• Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) Training.
• Food Safety Supervisor training.

Skills and Abilities
• Ability to supervise and delegate duties to colleagues, students and volunteers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Effective time management skills and ability to coordinate responsibilities to enable smooth and
efficient running of the program.
• Ability to be innovative, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• Proficiency in digital technology.
• Ability to manage the demands of the position including administration and professional
responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of the regulations, standards, frameworks and codes
