About the Position
We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and collaborative person to join our Learning Enrichment team in a full time role.  The successful candidate will be a dynamic educator who is a committed Christian, actively involved in their local church.

This role forms part of a team which supports teachers across the school in identifying, documenting and programming for students requiring adjustments to their learning. Our team has been developing a differentiated learning approach across all classes, but with particular emphasis on the development of Literacy and Numeracy competencies.

This particular role will focus on supporting and guiding staff in making appropriate adjustments, enabling students to access the curriculum, as well as implementing strategies to improve student literacy. The successful candidate will also be required to collaborate across KLAs and to write Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in collaboration with the teachers.

 

About You
With the ability to drive and facilitate a deep love of learning in students, your Christian faith will be evident in your ability to integrate an authentic Christian worldview into every learning experience. You will have a clear understanding of differentiated learning and assessment, catering for the individual needs of all students.

Along with NESA accreditation and a current Working with Children Check, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • a working knowledge of the current requirements in relation to identifying and supporting students with learning needs
  • evidence of success in your teaching and in an Educational Support role
  • experience in and knowledge of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) requirements
  • experience in maintaining records of differentiation and support strategies
  • experience in writing and managing Individual Learning Plans (ILP)
  • experience in running small group intervention programs such as MiniLit, MultiLit, Cars and Stars
  • experience in providing teaching staff with support and professional development in strategies for differentiation in the classroom
  • collaborative, innovative and effective practice
  • highly relational interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents
  • a demonstrated capacity to work and contribute as a member of a curriculum team
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • flexibility and interest in working in an innovative and dynamic environment
  • excellent ICT skills across a range of platforms
