About the Position

We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and collaborative candidate for this full time position to join our dedicated team in 2022.  The successful candidate will be a dynamic educator who is a committed Christian, actively involved in their local church. This position will report to the Head of Learning and Teaching, and work collaboratively with teachers in Years 10-12 to lead a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence.  Responsibilities include identifying and leading professional development opportunities for staff, fostering evidence-based learning and assessment strategies, instructional leadership, stakeholder management, in addition to design, implementation, evaluation and compliance of curriculum.  As part of a cohesive team, you will be committed to articulate the vision for strengthening and building upon a strong foundation in line with the school’s learning framework. About You

With the ability to drive and facilitate a deep love of learning in students, your Christian faith will be evident in your ability to integrate an authentic Christian worldview into every learning experience. You will have a clear understanding of differentiated learning and assessment, catering for the individual needs of all students. Along with NESA accreditation and a current Working with Children Check, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • recent experience in a similar position (desirable)
  • evidence of excellence in practice targeting development of student key capabilities
  • strong organisational skills
  • success in a position of responsibility within a high school context
  • collaborative, innovative and effective practice in a current teaching context
  • extensive awareness and understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices
  • highly relational interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents
  • a demonstrated capacity to work as a wider school team member
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • flexibility and interest in working in an innovative and dynamic environment
  • excellent ICT skills across a range of platforms.
